23/02 :  7 x 7 Mile Race 2010 Entry Now Open

    Yes its back! Claim you spot for the second annual 7X7 endurance mountain bike race at 7 Mile Reserve on Sunday 28th March 2010
Details about the Race and online entries is now open via the website or pick up an entry at the local bike shops in Queenstown. 

Race Program: 7 x 7 Mile Race on Sunday 28th March 2010 :
8.30am to 9.30am at Wilson Bay - Rider Registration & Set up of Team Sites.
9.30am - Race Briefing at Wilson Bay (compulsory).
10am - Race start.  5pm - Race Finish.
6pm - Prizegiving at Revolver Bar, Shotover Street, Queenstown.

Format:
Relay Race for teams of up to 4 riders and individual Solo Riders.
Number of Teams limited to 25.

Prizes: 1st place getters in each category will be awarded a sponsor prize.
Sponsor prize for best dressed team. Note: This is a fundraising event to build more trails.  Prizemoney is therefore limited

The race follows Fat Tyre Aventures heli-challenge on the Saturday 27th March.  A fantastic riding weekend!

23/02 :  Wakatipu Trail Blazer

   The Wakatipu Trails Trust are holding a fundraising event on Thursday 25th March 2010 - 5.45pm.  The event involves either walking, running or riding.  The ride starts at Jacks Point and ends up at Jardine Park, where there will be a band and food.  The ride passess over private land and part of the Jacks Point Trail.  It is $15 per person to do the ride which includes a years membership of the Trust.   

The Trails Trust have been a big supporter of the Mtb Club over the years, and this is our opportunity to give some of that support back.
